This is my travel blog for my trip to Uganda, Rwanda and South Africa.

It’s Wednesday and just finished my last day of work. Been packing for bloody days now, not least because most of my bag is filled with electronics; two DSLR cameras, one with a 3000mm zoom, a satnav, a laptop, a drone, an iPhone, binoculars, cables, chargers, batteries ….. not sure I’ve got any room left for clothes!

The big issue is whether I should take the drone or not. Their not exactly everyone’s favourite toy at the moment and my permit for Uganda hasn’t come through yet. So, do I take it and hope it comes through in time or not?!?!? A sensible person would leave it at home, but me ……

The other potential problem is this crappy weather coming in. Never mind whether the flight will leave from my little island tomorrow or not, it might be so icy I can’t get to the airport. Just going to have to hope my usual guardian angels, my Auntie Joan and Gran are looking after me again.
